Candidates file paperwork for public seats in Coppell, Irving ahead of May 2 elections

Candidates vying for seats in local governments began submitting paperwork Jan. 15.

Coppell and Irving city councils and school boards are accepting candidate applications until Feb. 14. Election day is May 2.

Local governments with open seats include Coppell and Irving city councils and the school boards of Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD, Coppell ISD and Irving ISD.

The city of Irving is also holding a bond election May 2.

As of 10 a.m. Jan. 16, Coppell City Council candidates were the only ones publicly available.
